Our Tutors

We’re thoughtful about who joins our tutoring team. Our tutors are carefully selected not just for their expertise but for their ability to support, encourage, and inspire. Each tutor has a degree in mathematics or science subject and strong teaching experience, bringing knowledge from diverse international backgrounds.

We work with tutors who are committed to helping students grow, whether that’s mastering tricky concepts, building confidence or refining study skills. They take the time to get to know each student and how they learn best, adjusting their approach to make lessons click. Because the right tutor doesn’t just teach - they can change the way a student feels about learning altogether. Meet our team below and see how we can help.

  • With 15 years of experience as a private maths tutor, Laura helps students build confidence in maths and develop a deeper understanding of the subject. She specialises in IGCSE and GCSE preparation, giving students the support they need to approach exams with clarity and self-assurance.

Her love for maths started early - after studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Sciences at A-level, she studied for a BSc in Mathematics. Basically, if numbers are involved, Laura is right at home.

Laura is particularly passionate about encouraging more girls to pursue STEM and worked as the Project Lead for UK charity MathsForGirls, connecting students with female role models. She later founded The Maths Coach to provide tailored support for students, helping them develop fluency and confidence in maths. She believes that, with the right guidance, every student can build a strong foundation and grow their mathematical ability.

  • With nine years of experience teaching maths across schools, universities, and communities, Miriam has a knack for making complex maths feel... well, less complex. She’s worked as a lecturer at the University of Warwick, trained future teachers at Birmingham City University, and volunteered as a teacher in Hyderabad, India, in a n orphanage and school.

Miriam’s teaching is unique, thoughtful and creative. She believes that everyone learns in their own way and adapts her teaching style to fit them - not the other way around. Her students describe her as both engaging and patient - someone who creates a safe and inclusive environment where they can thrive without fear of failure.

Miriam is about inspiring adventure, and setting brave goals. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her cycling through the mountains or taking on ultramarathons. She once biked from Canada to California, crossing rugged terrain for fun. She splits her time between the UK and Montréal, where she’s also tackling the challenge of learning French. So if your child is feeling unsure about maths, Miriam gets it—learning something new can be tough, but with the right support and mindset, it’s totally possible.
